This 1954 Dodge M37 is a former fire service truck and a solid, usable project. It runs on the original fuel system and gas tank, with no temporary or improvised setups. The truck starts, runs, drives, and stops.

The truck retains a standard M37 cargo bed that was modified for fire service use. Fire equipment remains installed, including a rear-mounted, gas-engine–driven fire pump with hose reel and associated plumbing, consistent with period brush or skid-unit style fire service setups. Original fire department markings are still visible. The truck has not been heavily cut up or reworked beyond its fire service modifications.

The rear suspension was modified with overload springs to support the added weight of the fire equipment. This setup may be useful for other applications that benefit from increased rear load capacity, such as a service truck, utility build, or similar projects.
