Patrick Connor Morton, 13 of Fairfield Iowa passed away Friday Jan. 16th 2009 at his home. Patrick was born July 31st 1995 to Gregg and LuAnn Bedell Morton in Ottumwa Iowa. Gregg and LuAnn are very much involved in the Power Wagon Rally this year and have been supporters in the past with the Power Wagon Rally. Gregg has been known to take vacation time and just show up at Vintage Power Wagons to lend a hand where ever it is needed.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Camp Courageous, 2387 Lilly Court, Fairfield IA 52556. Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20th 2009 at the Prairie View United Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Nolte officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date. Patrick was a student at Fairfield Middle School, loved his big brother, loved riding in the family M37 power wagon,(photo below, Gregg giving a Power Wagon Rally guest and his son Patrick a ride)
enjoyed school, and going to Camp Courageous and the Challenger Baseball League. He was associated with Prairieview United Methodist Church. Patrick is survived by his parents, Gregg and LuAnn Morton of Fairfield; his brother Nicholas Morton of Fairfield; honorary family brother Matt Welcher and sister Jennifer Welcher, both of Fairfield; grand parents Donald and the late Millie Bedell of Spring, Texas and Leland and Sue Morton of Fairfield. Patrick was preceeded by his grandmother, Mille Bedell.
